Your Journey into the Catholic Faith Begins Here
The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA), formerly known as RCIA, is a welcoming journey of faith for those interested in becoming Catholic or entering into full communion with the Catholic Church.
Through prayer, Scripture, discussion, and learning about Catholic teachings and traditions, participants deepen their relationship with God while preparing to receive the Sacraments of Initiation.
At Saint George Church, OCIA classes run from September through the Easter Vigil and meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm. The journey concludes at the Easter Vigil, when participants receive the sacraments appropriate to their preparation and enter into full communion with the Church.
Interested in joining? If classes have already begun and it is too late to participate this year, we encourage you to contact us! We would be happy to add your name to our list for next year’s classes.
Saint George also offers the Order of Christian Initiation for Children (OCIC) for children seeking to enter the Catholic faith.
