These meaningful contributions support our parish’s mission and help sustain our ministries for generations to come through the following giving programs:
Monsignor Franklin Foundation Endowment Fund
Monsignor Franklin was assigned as resident pastor of Saint George Church in 1942. With innovative ideas and a vision for intellectual growth rooted in faith, he helped guide the growing Saint George community. During his pastorate, he initiated the groundbreaking for Saint George School and the development of one of the area’s first modern-style churches, designed to accommodate more than 1,000 worshippers.
A dedicated and charismatic priest with immeasurable talents, Monsignor Franklin gave generously of his time and gifts. His legacy remains deeply treasured, and his extraordinary commitment continues to inspire the mission of Saint George Church today.
In his honor, Saint George established the Monsignor Franklin Foundation Endowment Fund, our highest level of giving. This fund helps ensure a strong and lasting future for Saint George. Interest earnings are reinvested to grow the fund, while parishioners may make contributions through their church envelopes.

Catholic Services Appeal
The Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) is the annual fundraising campaign supporting the ministries and outreach of the 13-county Diocese of Erie. It reminds us that we are all members of one Catholic family and that the work of the diocese is the shared work of the Church. Gifts to the CSA help provide essential programs and services that individual parishes could not offer alone, including faith formation, Catholic education, clergy and seminarian support, charitable outreach, and assistance for parishes and communities throughout the diocese.
Saint George Parish’s annual CSA assessment is $93,142. Once we meet this goal, every dollar contributed beyond our assessment is returned directly to Saint George and remains within our parish to support our own ministries, programs, and ongoing needs.
Your generous participation helps strengthen both Saint George Parish and the wider Catholic community across the Diocese of Erie. Every gift, regardless of size, makes a meaningful difference.
