Altar Servers

Altar Servers assist the priest and deacon during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. Through their service at the altar, they help the congregation worship prayerfully and reverently by participating fully in the liturgy through prayer, song, silence, and service.

Children may begin serving after completing second grade and may continue serving throughout their school years and beyond. Altar Servers are encouraged to be dependable, prepared, and committed to sharing their time and talents with the parish community. Serving at the altar is a meaningful way for young people to grow in their faith, deepen their understanding of the Eucharist, and take an active role in the life of the Church.
